Can I upgrade or downgrade my Standard Tenant Coverage coverage?

At this time, you cannot upgrade or downgrade coverage tiers with your Standard Tenant Coverage.

If you would like to change the tier of coverage, we recommend you cancel your current Standard Tenant Coverage, and re-enrol at the end of your billing cycle into your preferred tier. You will have coverage as soon as you enrol.

How do I cancel my Standard Tenant Coverage policy?

Should you wish to cancel your policy and remove your coverage, you can do so by following the steps below:

  1. Open the KOHO app and go to the Discover tab.

  2. Select Tenant Insurance > More

  3. Choose “Cancel policy” to cancel your Tenant Coverage.

Your Standard Tenant Coverage policy for coverage in your home will remain active until the next billing date.

Why was my Standard Tenant Coverage policy cancelled?

To ensure your policy remains active, the monthly payment is attempted 3 days before the renewal date. If payment is not made by your renewal date, the Standard Tenant Coverage will be cancelled.

If your insurance was cancelled incorrectly, you can restart Tenant Coverage in the KOHO mobile app 👍

💡 Pro-Tip: To ensure smooth payments, make sure your KOHO balance is adequately funded. For added peace of mind, consider adding a backup payment method so you never run out of coverage.

What if I need to move or end my rental agreement?

We want to ensure the Standard Tenant Coverage works with the changes in your life including a new move. We recommend cancelling your tenant insurance and re-enrolling with your new address 👍

To cancel your Standard Tenant Coverage for your current address, follow these steps:

  1. Open the KOHO app and go to the Discover tab.

  2. Select Tenant Insurance > More

  3. Choose “Cancel policy” to cancel your Tenant Coverage.
