Who is eligible to use the Cash Deposit feature?
This feature is available exclusively to users with verified KOHO accounts. Account verification is essential to ensure secure and personalized access to all KOHO's features.
Why do I need to verify my identity to use this feature?
Identity verification helps protect your account and ensures that only you can access and manage your money.
What information gets shared with Canada Post?
Only your name and date of birth are shared with Canada Post to verify you. Your KOHO account information is not shared with Canada Post.
What should I do if my account name and date of birth don't match my photo ID?
Please reach out to our support team via in-app chat if you need to update the legal name on your account.
How do I load cash into my KOHO account?
To load cash:
Open the KOHO app and navigate to the "$" section.
Tap “Add Money” then "Add Cash" and then select "Find your nearest Canada Post location."
Bring a government-issued photo ID to the Canada Post.
Present the unique QR code from the app to the clerk, who will then process your cash deposit.
How much cash can I load into my account?
You can load the following amounts:
The minimum amount you’ll need to deposit in order to use this method is $ 10 per transaction.
The maximum amount you can deposit using this method is $1,000 per transaction.
The maximum amount you can deposit using this method is $3,000 per 24 hours.
The maximum amount you can deposit using this method is $10,000 per 30 days.
All deposits must be in Canada Dollars.
How long does it take for the cash to be loaded into my account?
Cash deposits typically reflect in your KOHO account within about 10 minutes after the transaction is completed at Canada Post.
What does the pending status mean?
As soon as you load your KOHO account, the cash deposit will move to a 'pending' status. It will then be loaded within 10 minutes.
Why was my Cash Deposit declined?
Deposits can be declined for several reasons, such as exceeding your allowed transaction or monthly load limits. Contact our support team if you need clarity or assistance.
What if my cash hasn't shown up in my KOHO account?
If your deposit doesn't appear within 10 minutes, please contact our support team via in-app chat for immediate assistance. You’ll be asked to upload the receipt provided to you by Canada Post.
The amount I deposited differs from what was credited to my KOHO account, what should I do?
Contact our support team with the receipt of the deposit. We will review the transaction details and resolve any discrepancies.
What happens if I don't have a receipt for my deposit?
If the deposit was successful, it should appear in your account. If there are any issues or discrepancies, please reach out to our support team for help.
Which Canada Post locations won't support this loading method?
In case you are visiting Canada Post location within Shoppers Drug Mart, please make sure you go to the Canada Post counter so that the clerk can use a Canada Post scanner. Regular Shoppers scanners don't work for cash deposit into KOHO.
