Yes, you can add a Post Office Box or a PO Box as your shipping address if your home address cannot receive delivery, such as in rural locations or areas where Canada Post does not deliver.
What address should I have on my KOHO profile?
Your KOHO profile must always include your physical home address. This must be a real residential street address where you live. A PO Box cannot replace your home address on file.
If you also have a PO Box, you can add it alongside your street address in one combined format. For example, if your street address is 100 Example Street and your PO Box is 10, enter:
100 Example Street PO Box 10
We cannot list only a Post Office Box on your account. Your physical home address is required for verification.
How do I update or change my address?
You can update your address directly in the app.
Open the KOHO app
Tap your Profile page in the upper left corner
Scroll down to Personal Details and update your address
If you are unable to do this, we'll need you to send us a photo of your driver's licence, a PDF of your utility statement or a monthly account statement from another Canadian financial institution to confirm the change.
Once you have those documents ready, please reach out to us through our in-app chat.
How does card delivery to a PO Box work?
For a card to be delivered successfully to a PO Box, the name on the PO Box must match the name on your KOHO account. If the names do not match, the card will be returned.
Why might my card not deliver to my PO Box?
There are several reasons why a card might not be delivered to a PO Box.
Box is closed or inactive
If your PO Box rental has not been renewed, Canada Post will not hold or deliver mail.Box is full
If the box is over capacity, Canada Post may return items.
Restricted delivery
Some items cannot be delivered to PO Boxes, for example, parcels handed off by DHL may require a signature.
Incorrect addressing format
Missing unit or using the wrong postal code for the PO Box location, or formatting issues can trigger a return to sender.
