Your Joint cards: physical and virtual

Updated this week

Important: Joint accounts are not yet available on all accounts. We’re gradually rolling them out and will notify you once they’re ready for you.

When you and your partner open a Joint account, you’ll share one Spendable balance. You’ll each get a virtual Joint card you can use right away. Physical Joint cards will be mailed out starting in November, upon request.

⚠️ Please note that Canada Post service interruptions may impact the delivery or availability of physical Joint cards.

Where do I find my Joint virtual card?

In the KOHO app, go to Settings > Joint. On the Home screen, tap the card image to see your card details. You’ll see your Joint virtual card, which is linked to your shared balance.

What if my Joint partner and I live at different addresses?

Your Joint physical card will be mailed to the address linked to your own personal KOHO account. Please note that Joint physical cards will not be available until November upon request.

If I lock my Joint card, does it also lock my partner’s card?

No. When you lock your Joint card in the KOHO app, it only applies to your Joint card. Your partner’s Joint card will still be available to use.

If your partner also wants their Joint card locked, they’ll need to log in to their own KOHO account and complete the action from there. This way, each of you has full control over your own card.
