Cyber Protection

CyberScout, powered by Walnut, is cyber protection that helps if your personal information is stolen or your money is taken through fraud. It’s designed to cover the costs of recovering your identity and securing your accounts, so you're not on your own if something goes wrong.


Who can get Cyber Protection, and what are the fees?

Cyber protection is available to all KOHO members for $15/month.

What’s included with cyber protection?

You’ll get identity theft protection and 24/7 support, with:

  • 24/7 access to CyberScout’s Resolution Center

  • Online Dark Web Monitoring for your entire household

  • Social Media monitoring for cyberbullying

  • Online ID Vault and Educational Resources

  • Up to $1,000,000 in annual coverage

  • $0 deductible

  • Lost wages – up to $1,500 per week (maximum 8 weeks)

  • Legal consultation – up to $1,000

  • Travel costs – up to $1,000

  • Elder care or childcare – up to $1,000

  • CPA costs to fix tax identity issues – up to $1,000

  • Reimbursement for stolen funds from unauthorized online transactions

  • Coverage for medical identity theft and cyberbullying-related costs

24/7 expert support also includes:

  • Creating a Fraud Victim Affidavit

  • Notifying creditors and government agencies like the CRA

  • Building a detailed case file

  • Ongoing check-ins from a fraud specialist (6-month follow-up)

How do I sign up?

  1. Open the KOHO app

  2. Go to the Discover tab

  3. Tap CyberScout

  4. Complete a quick checkout to get started at $15 a month

💡 You’ll get a confirmation email from CyberScout with a link to set up your account.


How do I access the CyberScout dashboard?

  1. Open the KOHO app

  2. Go to Discover, then tap CyberScout

  3. Tap Go to Dashboard

You'll need the username and password you set up with CyberScout. (Single sign-on is coming soon.)


What happens if I miss a payment?

If you miss a payment, you’ll still have cyber protection until the end of that calendar month. If the fee isn’t paid by then, your coverage will be cancelled.


How do I cancel CyberScout?

If you're paying monthly:

  1. Open the KOHO app

  2. Go to Discover, then tap

  3. CyberScoutTap Cancel

Your coverage will stay active until the end of your current billing cycle.

💡 If you re-enroll in the future, you'll need to pay the $15 monthly fee again and log in using the same CyberScout credentials you originally created.
