With KOHO, you get paid faster*. We process payments as soon as we receive them, usually the night before pay day. If anything comes up during the process, we’ll contact you directly with the next steps.
Heads up: we don’t process direct deposits on Sundays or holidays.
*While Direct Deposits are typically received and processed the evening before your scheduled payday, the actual timing may vary depending on when the payment is issued. Please allow up to 2 business days for complete processing.
My deposit is scheduled for tomorrow (or a future date). Why don’t I see anything yet?
It’s normal not to see anything before the scheduled date. KOHO can’t view or track pending deposits, we only receive the funds once the sender releases them.
💡 What to expect: Your deposit will only arrive on or after the scheduled date. If it hasn’t arrived by the end of that day, reach out and we’ll help from there.
My deposit normally arrives at the same time every cycle. Why is it late today?
Even if your deposit usually lands at the exact same time, small timing changes are normal. The sender (your employer, CRA, etc.) may release their payment slightly earlier or later each cycle, which determines which banking batch it lands in.
This can still be perfectly normal.
What to do:
Keep an eye on your account throughout the day and overnight.
If it’s still missing by tomorrow morning, contact us and we’ll take the next step.
My deposit normally arrives at the same time every cycle. Why is it late today?
Not at all ! Deposits scheduled for today can arrive any time during the day or overnight. Timing depends on when the sender releases the payment, and even small delays can push the deposit to a later batch.
What to do:
Check back later today or overnight.
If it’s still not there tomorrow morning, contact us and we’ll help you investigate.
Are there any requirements for direct deposits to KOHO?
Yes, there are important requirements to keep in mind:
Name match: The name on your deposit should closely match the name on your KOHO account.
For example, if your KOHO account is under the name "Jacob Yixin Chen," a deposit from "Jacob Chen" or “Yixin Chen" would generally be accepted, but names that are significantly different may be rejected.
No international wires: KOHO doesn’t support SWIFT or IBAN codes, so we can't accept international transfers.
If anything comes up during the processing, we'll contact you directly with the next steps to resolve any issues.
When is KOHO able to investigate my missing direct deposit?
KOHO can only investigate once 1 full business day have passed since the scheduled deposit date. When that time comes, you’ll need to request the 22-digit trace number (starting with 621) from your payroll issuer, this is the official banking tracking ID for your payment.
Once you have it, we can dig in right away.
