How is Cover billed and what if I miss a payment?

How can I pay for my Cover subscription fee?

If you signed up for Cover, we’ll take the monthly subscription fee from your KOHO balance. This charge will appear as Cover Fee in your transactions.

​Please be advised that the fees will be collected around 12 am EDT/1 am EST on your billing date.

Quick tip: To avoid missed charges, add a backup payment method like a debit or credit card. In your app, go to Profile page (top left) > Payment Methods > Add Backup Payment Method.


Is it possible to change my billing date?

Your Cover billing date cannot be changed.

Please note that our support team cannot change your Cover billing date or upcoming payment upon request.


What happens if my KOHO account doesn't have enough money for the subscription fee?

If you don’t have enough money in your KOHO account for your monthly Cover fee:

  • We’ll make one attempt to collect the fee.

  • If that attempt fails, we’ll keep trying to collect the fee over the next 3 days whenever funds are available.

  • If the fee still isn’t collected after this period, your Cover subscription will move into NSF (non-sufficient funds) and be cancelled.

If your subscription is cancelled, you’ll need to repay the full cash advances. Once your Cover balance is repaid, your Cover subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off.


There are no late fees or penalties, but not repaying your balance may affect your ability to use Cover in the future.


What happens if I load money when I’m late on my Cover fee?

If we’re unable to collect your fee on your billing date, any time you load funds within the 3-day retry window, we’ll automatically try to collect the overdue fee before your funds become spendable.


How can I enable or disable Cover auto-renewal?

  1. Navigate to the Profile page in the top left corner

  2. Select "Cover settings"

  3. Turn on or off the "Resubscribe Cover" option


How can I cancel Cover?

You can cancel at any time! If you do cancel, we'll immediately recollect the cash advance after the 30-day subscription is done or you can repay the money directly in-app. To cancel, go to > Cover > in the upper right corner click on the settings icon > tap on Cancel Cover.

If you accidentally cancelled your Cover, our support team won't be able to reactivate it for you. No worries, though! To get back on track, simply pay back the cash advance and subscribe again.
