Passkeys are a secure way to log in to your KOHO account without entering your password.

Instead of typing your password, you can confirm it’s you using your device’s built-in security, like Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or device PIN.

Once you set up a passkey, you can use it to log in faster on supported devices. You’ll still have access to other available login methods.

## **Why should I set up a passkey?**

Passkeys help keep your account secure by reducing the need to enter your password when logging in.

They are designed to protect against phishing and compromised passwords because you must approve the login using your device or password manager.

It’s one more way KOHO can help protect your personal information and finances.

## **What do I need to set up a passkey?**

To set up a passkey, you’ll need:

* Access to your KOHO account in the mobile app
*   A supported device
* Device authentication turned on, such as Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or device PIN

💡 You may need to turn on a screen lock or biometric authentication in your device settings before setting up a passkey.

## **How do I set up a passkey?**

You can set up a passkey from the KOHO app by following the steps below:

1. Go to the profile page in the top left-hand corner
2.  Select **Login & password**
3.  Select **Passkey**
4. Follow the prompts on your device to confirm it’s you

Once completed, your passkey will appear on the Passkeys page.

Depending on your device, you may be asked to save your passkey using Apple Passwords, Google Password Manager, or another supported password manager.

## **Where can I use my passkey?**

Once your passkey is set up, you can use it to log in to your KOHO account on supported devices.

Passkey login is available in the KOHO mobile app and on KOHO Web.

## **Can I set up more than one passkey?**

Yes. You can have multiple passkeys connected to your KOHO account.

This can be helpful if you use more than one device or want to create a new passkey after getting a new phone.

## **How do I manage my passkeys?**

You can manage your passkeys in the KOHO app:

1. Go to the profile page in the top left-hand corner
2.  Select **Login & password**
3.  Select **Passkey**

From this page, you can:

*   Add a new passkey
*   View your existing passkeys
* Revoke a passkey you no longer use

Revoking one passkey does not affect your other passkeys or remove access to your KOHO account.

## **Can KOHO see my Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN?**

No. KOHO does not receive or store your Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN.

Your device uses this information to confirm it’s you. The authentication details are not shared with KOHO.

## **What happens if I get a new phone?**

Your passkey may be available on your new phone if it was saved and synced through your device or password manager account.

Sign in to the same Apple, Google, or password manager account on your new phone and follow the prompts when logging in.

If the passkey is not available, use another available login method and create a new passkey in the KOHO app.

## **What happens if I lose my phone?**

If you lose a device with access to your passkey, we recommend revoking any passkey you no longer trust.

If you can still access your KOHO account from another trusted device:

1. Go to the profile page in the top left-hand corner
2.  Select **Login & password**
3.  Select **Passkey**
4. Select the passkey you want to remove
5. Follow the prompts to revoke it

You may also be able to remotely secure or remove access to the lost device through your Apple, Google, or password manager account.

If you think your account or device has been compromised, reach out to our support team through the KOHO mobile app or web app for more help.

## **Do passkeys replace my password?**

Passkeys allow you to log in without entering your password on supported devices.

You may still need your password or another verification method when:

* Setting up a new device
* Recovering access to your account
*   Completing additional security checks
* Using a device or browser that does not support your passkey

## **My passkey is not working. What should I do?**

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Make sure the KOHO app and your device’s operating system are up to date.
2. Confirm that device authentication is turned on.
3. Check that you’re using the device or password manager where the passkey was saved.
4. Make sure you’re signed in to the correct Apple, Google, or password manager account.
5. Try another available login method.

If you’re still having trouble logging in, feel free to reach out to our support team in the KOHO app or by emailing us at **userverification@koho.ca**. We’ll ask you for some additional details to help you get back into your account 🙂
