Getting started is quick and happens right in the app. To unlock your full account, you’ll need to verify your identity to keep your money secure and protect against fraud.

In some cases, verification happens automatically if your name, address, and date of birth match an existing credit file. If not, you’ll complete a quick selfie verification using a valid, non-expired government-issued photo ID and your mobile device’s camera. Accepted ID includes a Canadian passport, driver’s license or provincial photo ID, Permanent Resident card or secure Certificate of Indian Status, or a photo health card from Quebec or British Columbia.

Once verified, your KOHO account is fully activated and ready to use.
