Can I use my KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card online?
Yes, the card can be used for online transactions, though the card use may be restricted by some online merchants.
Can I use my KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card overseas?
Yes, you can use your card wherever Visa is accepted. There are some countries blocked from accepting KOHO. See this article for more.
How do I check the balance of my KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card?
You can check the balance on your card by calling 1-855-564-6999 or via the in the app once you have successfully completed registration.
What if I am an existing KOHO user?
Existing KOHO users are not eligible to receive the activation fee refund and cannot link the KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card to your KOHO account. The KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card purchased can still be used for its full value ($80).
How do I get my cashback?
Your cashback accumulates from the moment you make your first purchase and you will receive access to it when you successfully register your card.
Can I add the KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card to my digital wallet?
These cards cannot be added to digital wallets but the full KOHO product can be added to Apple Pay and Samsung Pay once you receive it.

How do I register my KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card?
To register your card, go to register.koho.ca and follow the online process.
Is there any criteria I need to meet in order to be a KOHO user?
In order to successfully register your card, you need to reside in Canada and be the age of majority in the province or territory in which you live.
Why do you need to verify my identity?
We are required to verify the identity of everyone signing up for a KOHO account. The process is called Know Your Customer (KYC) and is part of our regulatory requirements. Read more about this here.
Will registering my card hurt my credit?
Nope. For better or worse, opening a KOHO account will not affect your credit score. We do what is called a soft check, and since we do not report to the Canadian credit bureaus, this will not affect your credit score or history.
Will I get sent a reloadable KOHO Visa Prepaid Card with my name on it?
Yes! Once we have your account fully set up, you will receive a card with your name on it within 7-15 days.
Can I still use my KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card after registration?
No. You won't be able to use your KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card after registration BUT your virtual card found within the KOHO app will be made available to use right away. You can also link your virtual card to Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for in-store use.

How do I get my activation fee refunded?
Once you successfully register your KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card and complete your account set up, we will automatically refund the activation fee into your KOHO account.
Can I get my activation fee refunded if I already have a KOHO account?
Unfortunately not. You’re welcome to purchase the KOHO Non-Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card at participating retailers but activation fees will only be refunded for new KOHO signups.
Is the activation fee deducted from the balance?
Nope, the activation fee is in addition to the balance on the card.
