How do I replace my Virtual card?

Updated this week

With KOHO, you can have total control over your Virtual card. If your Virtual card has been compromised, you can replace it in-app within seconds*. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to "My cards"

  2. Tap on the Virtual card

  3. Look for the words "Need a replacement"

  4. Hit "Request one" to make the change official

  5. Done! Your new Virtual card is ready to rock 🚀

*Virtual card replacements are limited to once per month.

Canceling a subscription?

If you request a new card in the KOHO app, it may not always stop recurring charges. When you add your card to a service like Uber, the merchant does not store your actual card number.

Instead, Mastercard replaces it with a secure token, which is a digital stand-in for your card number. This token allows the merchant to process payments without storing your real card details, and it can sometimes continue to process charges even after a card is replaced in the app.

To stop future charges, you should cancel the subscription or remove your card directly with the merchant.

If you see a charge you don’t recognize or believe a transaction is unauthorized, you can report it directly in the KOHO app. Sign into the app and go to your Transactions, select the specific transaction you have an issue with, tap the three dots (...) labeled “More” at the top of the screen, then choose Report an issue and follow the prompts to submit the dispute. Our team will review the report and help stop further unauthorized charges if needed.
