With KOHO, you can now send money internationally straight to someone’s digital wallet, a fast and convenient way for recipients to get money without needing a traditional bank account.


What is a digital wallet?

A digital wallet is an app on someone’s phone that lets them receive, store, and spend money.

It works like a mini mobile bank account, no physical bank needed. These wallets are extremely popular in many countries and are often more common than traditional bank accounts.

Note: China is blocked for KOHO card purchases (in-person & online), but users can still send International Money Transfers, including transfers to Alipay digital wallets.


How do I send money to a digital wallet?

Sending to a digital wallet works just like a normal KOHO international transfer:

  1. Tap “Send Money” in your KOHO app

  2. Select the destination country

  3. Choose the payout method:

    • Bank Transfer, or

    • Digital Wallet (if available in that country)

  4. Enter the transfer amount and pick your currency

  5. Tap Continue

  6. Select or add your recipient

  7. Confirm the source of funds and reason for transfer

  8. Review everything and tap Send Transfer

  9. Track your transfer anytime in the History tab
